My battle

For the last ten years i have faced a massive battle with my weight. Especially after having George and Madeline, my weight has shot up and up. Well with me starting Uni in September and me wanting to be as healthy as i can, i'm as determined as ever to do something about it. I have asked Chris for his support (that includes not to keep on about fried breakfasts etc) and i'm hoping and praying i can do it this time.

With the summer fast approaching and a holiday to Spain coming up, i hope to lose 28lbs for then, so i can walk about without feeling people are staring at me. Weighed in just at 247lb and i want to lose 100lb, so will record my updates here. Wish me luck! Have posted a before photo above as i don't want to look like the above next time i visit my 'home' at Disney.

Intro - About me

Well after seeing someone on one of my Disney forums write a blog and how great it was in remembering all the little memories that you have made, i thought i would do it to! As i write this George is 5 and is nearly at the end of Reception at school, and will be going into Year 1 in September. He loves the Power Rangers and is interested in Football. Being able to take him to meet his hero the Red Ranger last October was just amazing. Seeing him put his thumb up to the white ranger and for him to do it back to him was a sight i will never forget as a mom as there was such joy on his face. He is close to his Mommy and even now i can't get him out of our bed. Then there is Madeline, she is four in July and is currently at Nursery but going into Reception in September. She loves anything Disney (like me) especially Princesses and loves nothing more than to dress up as Cinderella or Snow White and dream of marrying her Prince Charming (or Prince Charging as she calls it!). She loves anything girly including using my Estee Lauder make-up and playing with her best friend Boo our cocker spaniel dog who is 8 months old today.
Then there is my husband Chris. We have been married for five years now. It's hard making time for ourselves when we have busy lives at work, with the children etc but we have promised that after we had such a rushed wedding in 2003 that we can renew our vows at Disney World in the next few years. Chris is studying at the moment and i hope and pray that he will finish this course soon, so that he can begin a job in a career he thoroughly deserves.
I have a place to begin University in September to train as a Primary School Teacher. I can't wait to start this. When this is done, i hope to move to the USA, to begin our new life there.
And as Walt Disney said, 'If you can dream it, you can do it, remember this whole thing was started with a mouse'.
