The most amazing person - Uncle Jack

Yesterday i met one of the most amazing people, i think i will ever meet.

Losing my beloved Nan 3 years ago was the most heartbreaking thing i have ever faced. She meant the world to me. Uncle Jack is her older brother and at 95 years old has outlived all his brothers and sisters. In a way (although i know my nan is always wih me), he is the only thing from around Nans time that i have left. He lives in South Africa and yesterday we fetched him and his son John from the airport. It was like looking at my Nan again and the love i felt for him was instant. He is the most beautiful and sweet person and instantly took a shine to Madeline and George (or as he calls him 'mince pie boy'). So sweet when he said the four things he missed most were mince pies, scratchings, pork pie and black pudding.

So here he is my Uncle Jack.

I'm getting there!

After the job interview that i talked about in my last post, thought i would let you know that i got the post. Thank goodness i will be able to leave where i am now and start something i can keep up with while at university.
I also managed to lose 5lb on Wednesday and have had a few comments already about my weight loss, which is doing wonders for my confidence. Long way to go but i am getting there!
Myself, the kids and even Chris went to Church today. Feel great going to Church, it makes me feel good but also closer to my grandparents that are no longer with us. Nice to be able to enjoy this with my sisters and nan and grandpa too.
The start of a new week tomorrow and my sister Annabel is 17 tomorrow and even has her first driving lesson this week. Seems like only yesterday when i found out she had been born. She has grown up to be a beautiful lady, not only with looks but the most amazing and caring personality. I love her as i do all my sisters very much.

Summers here!

Summer is officially here. The weather has been so hot this weekend. Spent a lot of time out in the garden with Chris and the kids. We set up the patio furniture and enjoyed a bbq on Saturday evening and had tea out on Sunday. The kids have really enjoyed their Mommy and Daddy time this weekend.

We have Spain nine weeks on Friday, can't wait for that, faur enough it's not Disney World, but a much needed break none the less. Looking forward to lazing by the pool with no bothers or work. Talking of work, i have a interview tomorrow for something new. Not enjoying the RAC at the moment and realistically i'm not going to be able to work those hours once i begin University, so, i won't tempt fate and talk about it yet, but keep your fingers crossed.

As i haven't posted a pic of my sisters and nan and gramps, i thought i would now. They all mean the world to me.
